Disability Direct – making strides to fund our Welfare Rights Services
On the 2 October 2017 Disability Direct is taking part in The Derby Legal Walk, a challenging 10k walk around Derby City Centre to raise funds for our valued Welfare Rights Service.
The Derby Legal Walk is arranged through The Midland Legal Support Trust, a grant-making charity who raise and distribute funds to organisations providing free legal advice services in the Midlands. 100% of the money raised on behalf of Disability Direct will go to our Welfare Rights Service.
We have started to put together a walking team but would love to have more people on board so if you feel up to the challenge please contact Rachel Walsh (Rachel.firstname.lastname@example.org / 01332 299 449) for more information. We are hoping to recruit as many people as possible so please feel free to pass on our details and share this information far and wide.
If you do not want to take part in the walk but would like to help raise money you could consider setting up your own fundraising activity – if you need some inspiration or support please contact Rachel.
If you are interested in sponsoring Disability Direct please either go to our BT mydonate page https://mydonate.bt.com/fundraisers/disabilitydirect or contact Rachel who will advise you how to make a payment.
