Macmillan Coffee morning raises over £200

Every year Disability Direct does it’s best to support other charities that are close to it’s heart. In the past they have raised money for Children in Need and Comic Relief but on an annual basis they take part in the Macmillan Coffee Morning.

This year the charity held it’s coffee morning at Oakleigh Avenue Community Room with support from the Fast Forward Project. Disability Direct and DD Payroll staff had been baking away and donated more than 5 cakes and a variety of buns with many other donations coming in from people in the local area. The talented Leanne Duffin from DD Payroll made some Macmillan themed buns which went down especially well.

The coffee morning also included games, a jumble sale and crafts by the Fast Forward members. 36 people attended and raised over £211 for Macmillan.

If you would like to take part in the Macmillan coffee morning, there is still time. You can get your kit from here

Disability Direct would like to thank all the staff and members who donated to the day.
