Information & Advice

Change can happen at any time in your life, and we’re here to offer a free Information & Advice service.  Anything from what happens when coming out of hospital, finding funding or a new piece of equipment, right through to travel insurance and more: if you’ve got a disability or care related question, we are here to help.
There is no such thing as a daft question, so don’t worry about asking us!

Welfare Rights

Are you receiving the welfare benefits you are entitled to?
If you are not sure and want to speak to an experienced Welfare Rights Advisor, Rob is available for over-the-phone benefit checks and also offers a free appointment based form filling service.

The free service is available to anyone in the Derby City area. Unfortunately due to high demand we do not offer home visits or a drop in service. Enquiries need to be made by telephone or email, and Rob works from both the Council House and our Pride Park office.

Do What You Want Directory

Created to empower disabled people and carers, the popular online services directory lists over 700 groups and organisations, and is regularly used by support planners and brokers too.

Join the thousands who already use the directory to search through categories and topics to find anything from a care agency, gardener or adult learning, right through to support groups and information services.
