Enabled Centre
The Enabled Centre is an activity and learning centre for disabled adults offering a wide range of activities and outings thanks to our wheelchair-accessible minibus. The center also provides independent living classes which teaches basic life skills.
Daytime activities for disabled adults
All the activities provided in some way aid and promote the independence of our members whilst ensuring fun for all in a safe, caring and supportive environment. This service is designed and run in a way that encourages disabled individuals to thrive while gaining new experiences and expanding on their interests.
This is a charged for service.
ENABLED CENTRE ACTIVITIES
The Enabled Centre provides a wide range of activities from arts and crafts to cooking & baking, life skills and community-based activities.
Arts and Crafts, IT, Relaxation and Well-being, Music, Gardening, Cooking & Baking, English, Maths, Themed and Group Activities, Karate, Personal Projects and much more!
Trips and outings
P2P Allotments, Attending exhibitions, Meals out, Parks, Museums, Farms, Local community events, Strawberry/pumpkin picking, River boat tour, Shopping, Elvaston Castle, Bowling and much more!
TRACKED OUTCOMES
Outcomes that are tracked in each member’s pathways to independence include:
Social Inclusion, Improved Wellbeing, Enhanced Confidence & Self Esteem, Transferrable skills for living at home, Community Inclusion, General Skills & Self Care and Functional skills.
